Blade No. 1 haircuts

Everybody got a haircut, everybody wanted the blade no. 1, i.e. "An Army Haircut".   And there you have it!  I do like it when they are freshly "shorn".

Last day of work

I finished my last day of work on July 11th.  I was laid off.  This is the first time in my work career that I didn't voluntarily leave a position.  Kind of weird.  Sad too.  Met lots of nice people and made some good friends there.

Staying cool

It's been HOT, HOT, HOT - we've been staying cool at the pool.  Dave bought me a new camera that takes pictures underwater - pretty cool!  We decided that a camera that is shock proof, water proof, and freeze proof is ideal for our family of three active guys and one clumsy mommy! : )

Summer is here!

Summer is in full swing.  I am getting laid off of my job this week (week of July 7th) and don't tell Dave but,  I am looking forward to enjoying this time and the summer with the kids.  I'm planning a bunch of day trips and I guess we will be doing a "stay-cation" (vacation at home ; )

We will be spending a lot of time at the pool in our neighborhood, it is SO nice there.  We were there all the time last summer and that's when and where the boys really learned how to swim. It's comforting knowing that they have this life skill now.  

I have this picture on facebook and everyone seems to get a kick out of it, so I thought I'd post it here as well.  Crazy guys!

Starting a blog - The lastest with us

Well I've started a blog. 

We'll see if I can keep it current.

We are in the second week of our summer break and also the second week of VBS.  The past few weeks have been crazy.  The last week of school, then the first week of summer vacation and VBS. We've been going, going, gone!
